I’ve booked couples into this resort for a few years now, and the wedding packages and pricing has changed a lot recently.
So if you’ve seen an older price floating online, including on our own site until now, here’s the updated version.
It also has everything I always walk couples through before they book.

1. Hotel Overview

Forget the typical beachside experience and prepare yourself for the ultimate tropical paradise!
El Dorado Maroma’s Palafitos Overwater Bungalows are a collection of 30 super exclusive and private bungalows.
These bungalows are perched right on top of the crystal-clear waters of Maroma Beach.
And it’s part of the larger El Dorado Maroma resort in Riviera Maya, just south of Cancun.
Every bungalow sits on the water with glass-bottom floors, a private plunge pool, and full butler service.
And because you get full access to El Dorado Maroma’s restaurants, pools, and wedding venues too, you’re really getting 2 resorts in 1.
2. Wedding Packages
A wedding here runs from $599 for an intimate elopement up to $9,999 for a 24-guest celebration.
And, as mentioned earlier, I want to flag upfront that package pricing has changed in the last couple of years.
So this is the current lineup.
You’ll get to choose from 4 fantastic packages.
4 wedding packages include:
- Love Bliss for Two: $599 for you 2.
- Everlasting Love: $1,399 for 20 guests.
- Eternal Love: $3,499 for 24 guests.
- Sensational Love Reverie: $9,999 for 24 guests.
Additional guests can be invited for $13 to $199 per person, depending on the package.

1. Beach Area Lima Limon
Our couples absolutely adore this beach wedding venue.
And it’s my go-to recommendation for a classic barefoot beach ceremony.

2. Nuestra Señora de los Dolores Chapel
With its intimate setting, this chapel at the resort is for you if you want something that feels formal and reverent.

This beautiful gazebo is perfect for intimate celebrations.
Plus, it’ll provide a fantastic backdrop to your wedding!

Yes, the resort supports same-sex civil and symbolic ceremonies, along with renewal ceremonies.

5. Room Types
The Palafitos Overwater Bungalows are a set of 30 private bungalows.
Every bungalow is 600 square feet, with a glass-bottom floor, direct ladder access to the ocean, and a furnished terrace.
Did I mention the private plunge pool, and the indoor hot tub?

You get to choose from 3 bungalow categories…
- Overwater Bungalow – 1 double bed
- Elite Overwater Bungalow – 1 double bed
- Two Bedroom Presidential Overwater Bungalow – 2 double beds
For the wedding couple, I highly recommend the Elite Overwater Bungalow.

The Elite Overwater Bungalow sits at the very end of the pier.
Meaning you get unobstructed ocean views with nothing between you and the horizon.
And it comes with a personal butler and 24-hour gourmet in-room dining.
I especially like the Elite category for wedding-morning prep.
There’s enough space on that terrace for photos before you leave for the ceremony.
6. Beach & Pools
Every bungalow comes with its own private plunge pool, so you don’t really have to leave your terrace to be in the water.
Beyond that, Maroma Beach itself is just steps away, routinely ranked among the top 10 beaches in the world.
And Palafitos guests also have access to El Dorado Maroma’s own pools and cabana service on shore.

The bungalows are surrounded by stunning waters, and come with ladder access to the ocean.
You can also opt for thrilling water sports or just relax and catch up with your guests.
7. Food & Drink
With 4 incredible restaurants and 4 lively bars, including 2 swim-up bars, the resort’s got all your cravings covered.
You and your wedding guests will be in for a real treat!
From classic Mexican dishes to mouthwatering Peruvian cuisine, there’s something for everyone here.
