During a night out with friends, Gordon used a terrible pick-up line on Codi. This may have turned out horrible for others, but they ended up exchanging numbers and going on a date the next week to a baseball game. To his surprise, Codi was super excited, but his ego deflated after realizing she was more excited to see her hometown team! After holding onto a ring for 3 months, Gordon popped the question inside the D.C. War Memorial and Codi was so happy, she forgot to say yes!

Thankfully, they both wanted a destination wedding and an affordable option for their guests, ultimately choosing Playa del Carmen. After having to reschedule their wedding twice, Codi and Gordon’s big day came at Paradisus Playa del Carmen. Even though this was their third attempt at the wedding, Codi revealed, “The actual wedding day was easy and everything came together exactly how it was supposed to!”

As her bridesmaids walked down the aisle to Here Comes the Sun, Codi and her dad stopped the wedding coordinator a very important question, “My dad asked if we had time for a quick shot at the bar to calm my nerves. This was a very special moment!” The ceremony and reception came and went, and it was time to head to the dance floor where the rest of the night wrapped up, “Everyone was on the dance floor at some point, including my father-in-law, whom I was told refused to dance!”
