Crushin’ at camp! Kathryn and Van met at a summer camp that Kathryn was working at and for three summers, Van’s church brought high school students to the same camp. It took Van all those summers to work up his courage to ask Kathryn out! Their engagement made it a full circle moment, with Van surprising his soon-to-be fiancé with a proposal on the same dock where they met for the very first time, yes, at that camp.
After not being able to agree on a location in the US, Mexico became the top pick for personal reasons, “I spent eight years of my childhood in Oaxaca, Mexico and have a soft spot for the country,” Kathryn reveals.
