El Dorado Maroma Weddings
1. Hotel Overview
★★★★★ | ADULTS-ONLY | ALL-INCLUSIVE | PLAYA DEL CARMEN
El Dorado Maroma is a luxury, adults-only resort ideal for a romantic getaway.
Located on 1 of the world’s most beautiful beaches, you get stunning tropical views…
Plus gourmet cuisine, world-class 24-hour service & amazing amenities.

There’s an on-site spa, which is entirely based on ancient Mayan principles of the elements…
And with plenty of daily activities & nightlife entertainment, there is never a dull moment!
Plus, all accommodations are energy efficient.
This resort has gone to great lengths to ensure that sustainability is prioritized.
The recycling & water filtration system converts 92% of the used water into drinking water.
So, you can have your wedding & save the planet all at the same time!
2. Wedding Packages
El Dorado Maroma offers 4 wedding packages.
4 wedding packages include:
- Love Bliss for Two: $599 for you 2.
- Everlasting Love: $1,399 for 20 guests.
- Eternal Love: $3,499 for 24 guests.
- Sensational Love Reverie: $9,999 for 24 guests.
Additional guests can be invited for $13 to $199 per person, depending on the package.
The resort also has a beautiful South Asian wedding package that’s a hit with my South Asian couples.
It costs $26,999 for 50 guests.
For everyone else, the Eternal Love package is great for couples on a budget.

This package includes:
- Ceremony location of your choice
- Officiant
- Wedding certificate
- Bridal bouquet and groom’s boutonnière
- Welcome beverage
- Sound system with speakers and microphone
- Personalized wedding designer
And so much more.
3. Ceremony & Venue Options
I genuinely love the wedding venues at El Dorado Maroma.
The resort has done a fantastic job with the design, and you can tell a lot of thought has gone into every detail.
There are 8 venues on the resort, and each 1 is gorgeous.
If you’re expecting a larger guest list, I’d recommend the beach.
It accommodates up to 150 guests, and there’s nothing quite like exchanging vows with the Caribbean Sea as your backdrop.

Or you can choose the Chapel which is slightly smaller, holding 120 guests.

You can also choose from:
- Gazebo 24 (max. 100 guests)
- Chapel Gazebo (max. 80 guests)
- North Beach (80 guests)
- Sky Deck (50 guests)
- Sky Massage (max. 50 guests)
- Mio’s Restaurant Palapa (max. 30 guests)
I like that the resort doesn’t force every couple into the same style of celebration.
Whether you’re planning an intimate ceremony with your closest family or a lively celebration with over 100 guests, there’s a venue that fits naturally.
4. Gay Weddings
El Dorado Maroma is gay-friendly & welcomes all couples.
They offer the same wedding packages for same-sex couples as they do for straight couples.

Most of my couples choose to have a symbolic ceremony & handle the legal stuff back home.
However, it is possible to arrange a legal wedding in Mexico.
It may just take a little extra planning & paperwork.

9. What Brides & Grooms Said...
“My husband and I got married at El Dorado Maroma and Jasmine at the spa did a wonderful job with my wedding hairstyle and makeup. Her attention to detail and genuine personality added to my special day. I could tell she took great pride in what she did and truly cared about making her brides feel beautiful. I highly recommend Jasmine and feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to spend the day with her.” – Tess H.

“When I tell y’all the most amazing experience ever in our entire lives… Days leading up to the wedding things got a little crazy due to the hurricane but when I tell y’all they made this place look like the hurricane NEVER came through! They were so prepared but we knew how to turn up even with the rain!… The view amazing, weather was perfect and our awesome wedding crew Mariana, Cristina, Rafadolfo, etc man say they gave us what we wanted all the way up to the day! From the wedding on the beach to choosing to have our reception inside of one of the bars instead of on the beach!” – Norris & Berry
10. Why I Like It
There is a lot to love about El Dorado Maroma…

Things I love:
- They’ve got 1 of the most breathtaking beaches in the Caribbean
- Beautiful wedding venue options
- Their sustainability policy & pledge called Passion for Sustainability
- A wide range of activities for both day & night
Things I don’t love:
The only con (for some people) is that it’s adults-only. So if you’re planning to have kids at your wedding, this isn’t the right spot for you.

Comments from our planners:
Elizabeth from our team says…
“Pros. The most amazing beach in this world, top-notch food and service, intimate, quiet, sexy, and did I mention the beach??? Also, they have
palafitos, the over-the-water bungalows, which are out of this world. Cons… Can’t think, maybe aged rooms… But honestly, my only con is why don’t I live there.”
Alison from our team says…
“It’s great for Honeymooners etc… better for smaller weddings like 50 people to have more options for event locations. Gorgeous beach. At the moment a couple of restaurants are being updated. They have amazing suites like the
Honeymoon villa and Private Pool suite – this resort is for people with a healthy budget and rich guests.”
