Thinking about getting married at El Dorado Seaside Palms?

And it’s one of my favorite picks for a quieter, more secluded Riviera Maya wedding.
Not kidding! It’s genuinely more private than the higher-traffic resorts closer to the airport.

Weddings at El Dorado Seaside Palms
1. Hotel Overview
El Dorado Seaside Palms is a 380-suite, adults-only resort on Kantenah Bay.
It’s roughly 70-90 minutes south of Cancun International Airport, well past Playa del Carmen.
It’s split into 2 distinct sections: the Palms, with traditional Mexican architecture and coconut plantations, and the modern Infinity section with swim-up suites and balcony pools.
I recommend this resort to couples who want something different than the busy, high-traffic resorts closer to the airport.
It’s quieter by design and you get a real sense of seclusion.
But that means you and your guests are looking at a longer transfer. I feel that’s a good trade-off.

The resort recently introduced brand new packages. They are:
- Love Bliss For Two: $599 for you 2.
- Everlasting Love: $1,399 for 20 guests.
- Eternal Love: $3,499 for 24 guests.
- Sensational Love Reverie: $9,999 for 24 guests.
The resort also offers a South Asian wedding package that costs $26,999 for 50 guests.

This mid-tier package includes a beautiful ceremony, semi-private group dinner, and honeymoon package for the newlyweds.

If you’ve always dreamed of a classic beach wedding, the Beach Area is probably perfect for you.
And I often recommend it to couples planning a bigger celebration.

The Beach Pergola is one of the resort’s most intimate ceremony venues.

3. Cotorros Pool Party
If you’re looking for a relaxed place to kick off the celebrations, Cotorros Pool Party is a great choice for a cocktail hour.

4. EDSS Grand Ballroom
Planning a larger wedding? Or prefer the comfort of an indoor venue?
The EDSS Grand Ballroom’s for you.
I usually recommend it for the rainy months or when couples want an indoor backup.

5. Mexican Plaza
One of the first things you’ll notice about this venue is the beautiful hacienda-style fountain at its center.
It adds a splash of color and gives the space plenty of personality.

6. Sky Deck at Infinity Section EDSS
The Sky Deck at the Infinity Section is one of my favorite venues for intimate weddings.
With sweeping ocean views and a rooftop setting, it feels incredibly romantic without needing much décor.

7. Stone Deck
Also known as Muelle Corazón, the Stone Deck is designed for an incredibly intimate wedding.
With space for just two people, it’s perfect for an elopement or a private vow renewal.
4. Gay Weddings at El Dorado Seaside Palms
Yes, this is one of the resorts I specifically recommend for LGBTQ+ couples in Mexico.
The on-site wedding team specializes in same-sex ceremonies, works with LGBTQ+-friendly vendors, and every wedding package is fully inclusive with no additional costs for same-sex couples.
We have them all on WhatsApp which simplifies requests!
5. Room Types
El Dorado Seaside Palms offers guests a choice between ocean view & garden view rooms.
You can also choose between junior suites, luxury suites, and penthouse suites.
But you know what me and my couples love the most?
Many resorts have multiple tiers for guest experience, designed to increase your access if you pay more.
No preferred club here! Everyone has the pool concierge, beach concierge, and access to Bali beds!
Ocean View Rooms
These rooms come with all of the amenities you would expect from a luxury resort.
This includes air conditioning, king-size bed, mini bar, satellite TV, and more.
Garden View Rooms
The garden view rooms are just as luxurious as the ocean view rooms, but offer a bit more privacy.
Junior Suites
Junior suites come with a living area, bedroom, and oversized bathtub. They are perfect for couples who want to have some extra space.
Luxury Suites
The luxury suites come with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a Jacuzzi on the balcony overlooking the ocean.
They are ideal for larger groups or families.
Penthouse Suite
This is El Dorado Seaside Palms’ most luxurious suite. It features a private elevator and access to the rooftop terrace.
With 2 bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms, you can enjoy an outdoor Jacuzzi on your own balcony that overlooks the water.
6. Beach
The resort is located on a beautiful stretch of white sand beach.
It offers king-sized Bali beds and palapas for shade, as well as kayaks, paddleboards, snorkeling equipment, and more to explore the area.
With swim-up bars, you can enjoy a cocktail without ever leaving the water!
7. Food & Drink
El Dorado Seaside Palms features 10 restaurants & 11 bars that you can dine & drink at during your stay.
You’ll have the option to choose from Mexican, Italian, Asian, Latin fusion and several other cuisines.
My colleague (and amazing friend!) Nadia says, “They have some of the best sushi I’ve had in any resort” which says a lot because she stays in the swankiest all-inclusives in the area!
The resort also has an extensive wine list with over 250 selections.
The dress code is fairly relaxed — you can wear flip-flops & shorts, but no bathing suits, please!
Room service is available 24/7 for free.
If you’re looking for the ultimate dining experience, Mia Casa is the resort’s most romantic and intimate spot for couples and friends alike.
Serving up all your Italian favorites, this fine-dine restaurant is to die for!
8. Activities & Group Entertainment
El Dorado Seaside Palms offers a variety of activities to enjoy during your stay.
The resort has 3 pools, a fitness center, tennis courts, and more.
Plus the resort accommodates wedding guests of all types. Foam parties in one pool, chill atmosphere in the other!

10. Why I Like It (Pros/Cons)
I love love love the El Dorado Seaside Palms because it’s truly a luxurious resort.
This resort is perfect for those who want a little bit of luxury and to relax during their wedding.
However, with such amazing service and amenities, you’ll never want to leave!
But there’s more…
Things I LOVE:
- The swim-up suites. 🥰
- Beachfront location with stunning ocean views.
- Awesome hammocks for a relaxing day with a mojito.
- Thousands of palm trees. Lush as F.
- Wedding packages include everything you need. No hidden fees.
- Staff is incredibly friendly & helpful, they will go above-and-beyond to make your day.
- Food is delicious and there’s something for everyone – from buffet-style restaurants to Latin fusion.
- Inclusive services for LGBTQ+ couples.
Things I don’t love:
- Differences in rooms in both sections of the resort.
- Walls can be thin so you may hear noise from other rooms.
- Located 60-90 minutes from Cancun airport.
- Cement wall blocks you from direct water access in some places on the beach, but you can climb down it.
