Royal Hideaway Playacar is an adults-only oasis set on a stunning set of white sand beaches in Mexico’s Riviera Maya!
They’ve got elegant accommodations with 200+ luxurious rooms, world-class dining, and a wide range of activities for you & your guests.

- Royal Luxury – $2,200 for 20 guests
- Royal Extravagance – $3,700 for 25 guests

1. Royal Gold Package
This is one of their most popular packages!
It’s perfect for intimate weddings with up to 25 guests.
The package includes:
- Official symbolic ceremony conducted by a Minister of Peace (civil judge available at an extra charge)
- Canopy decorated with white drape
- Beautiful Crossback chairs
- Aisle is beautifully decorated with gold lanterns
- Recorded music and microphone during the ceremony
- Bouquet of roses for the bride matching the groom’s buttonhole
- 6 bags of rose petals for the aisle
- Assistance of a wedding coordinator
- Service of photography during the ceremony (20 photos)
- Sparkling wine for wedding toast
- 2-tiered cake (choice of vanilla)
- 1 hour premium open bar & chef-inspired selection of 3 cold hors d’oeuvres
- 1 set of saxophone music or Mariachi during the cocktail (45 minutes)

2. Gardens & Terraces
The gardens & terraces are beautiful spaces surrounded by nature.

- Barracuda Terrace to celebrate your cocktail, ceremony, reception, or all!
It’s the perfect spot for an outdoor wedding of up to 50 guests!
3. Low Lobby
The Low Lobby is a more traditional space that’s perfect for an indoor ceremony or reception.
It has high ceilings & plenty of natural light coming in from the floor-to-ceiling windows.
This space can accommodate up to 50 guests.

Things we love:
Playacar has a gorgeous beach…that’s what it’s known for. So if a gorgeous white-sand beach and turquoise waters are a must, a resort in Playacar like the Royal Hideaway is the way to go.
However, there are a few things to keep in mind before choosing this resort for your destination wedding…
Things we don’t love:
For one, it’s located in a hurricane zone.
So if you’re getting married during hurricane season (June-November), you may want to consider another location.
Also, the prices can be a bit high.
But when you compare them to other resorts in the Riviera Maya, they’re actually quite reasonable.

It’s kinda generic, small boutique-ey, nice beach, that’s pretty much it. If you’re considering Royal Hideaway you’ll also want to check out the El Dorado Royal, El Dorado Casitas, or even Hotel Xcaret Arte.
So if you’re looking for a stunning resort with impeccable service, Royal Hideaway Playacar is a great choice.
Just be sure to keep the hurricane risk in mind!
