Moon Palace The Grand Punta Cana pampers destination wedding groups with delicious dining, fun entertainment, thoughtful amenities, and amazing wedding venues.
Moon Palace The Grand Punta Cana raises the bar for all-inclusive stays with over 19 specialty restaurants, multiple pools, a beautiful stretch of beach, a Greg Norman designed golf course, O Spa, a water park, and entertainment from morning till night. Every room overlooks either the ocean or the golf course, and little details like 24-hour room service, aromatherapy, and whirlpool tubs made our stay extra special. We've toured plenty of all-inclusive resorts over the years, and this is one that left a lasting impression. And we haven't even started talking about the wedding venues yet!
For destination weddings, it's an easy recommendation because couples, families, and groups of friends can all vacation their own way (without ever leaving the resort!). The resort also does a great job of keeping children entertained, so parents get a chance to enjoy your celebrations, or unwind, or both.
Accommodations
The rooms at Moon Palace The Grand Punta Cana are some of the nicest we've seen from Palace Resorts. Every suite comes with a tub, premium liquor dispenser, daily refreshed minibar, in room snacks, aromatherapy, Smart TV with Google Chromecast, complimentary WiFi, and 24-hour room service through the Palace Resorts app.
For wedding guests, we recommend the Grand Superior Deluxe Golf View (we personally enjoyed staying here). The suite accommodates up to 5 guests with either 1 king bed or 2 queen beds. Your guests can enjoy a double Jacuzzi, a furnished balcony with chaise lounges, a private bathroom with shower, breakfast table, welcome bottle of wine, coffee maker, and in room snacks.
For newlyweds, we recommend the Grand Governor Ocean View Suite. At around 2,600 square feet, it feels more like a private residence than a resort room. There's a private terrace overlooking the Caribbean, separate living room, dining area, premium liquor dispenser, pillow menu, aromatherapy menu, Natura Bissé bath amenities, CHI hair tools, bathrobes, slippers, turndown service, and 24 hour room service.
The resort also offers brand new Grand Three Bedroom Ocean View Villas for up to 8 guests and Grand Four Bedroom Ocean View Villas for up to 12 guests. If your friends or family members want to share accommodations, these villas are an excellent choice.
Dining & Drinks
Food is one of the biggest highlights here. With more than 19 specialty restaurants, cafés, snack places, and bars, you and your guests could stay for a week and still not try everything. We've visited several of them ourselves, and there are quite a few we'd happily return to. La Cantina quickly became one of our favorites for authentic Mexican cuisine. The freshly pressed tortillas, tangy aguachiles, and barbacoa broth are all worth ordering. Habibi also surprised us. I can't remember the name of the dish, but I had an eye-shaped flatbread with an egg baked into the center, and it was incredible! You can also enjoy French cuisine at Le Jiraf, Greek specialties by award winning chef Athinagoras Kostakos at Nikos, Italian classics at Tavola, Brazilian rodizio at Carvao, seafood at Joe's Deck, and international favorites at The Grand Buffet. Families will love Wonderwoods, where children get to dine in a magical forest themed setting. For steak lovers, JC Prime Room 84 serves Certified Angus Beef in an adults only setting. And in late 2026, the resort plans on opening Fuego, an open flame smokehouse. We also loved Boulangerie; it stays open 24 hours serving crepes, gourmet chocolates, cookies, paninis, pastries, and coffee. And The Ninth Pin was our fav hangout spot! It's a bowling alley that serves delicious snacks.
Activities & Entertainment
There's never a shortage of things to do at Moon Palace The Grand Punta Cana. Your guests can spend the day relaxing by one of several pools, or simply stretch out on the resort's beautiful beach. Adventure lovers can go kayaking, paddleboarding, snorkeling, or hop on the wave simulator. The resort's onsite water park is a huge hit with both adults and children thanks to its slides, lazy river, splash zones, and kiddie pool. The entertainment continues long after sunset with live music, theatrical performances, themed evenings, and DJs.
Bowling, arcade games at Wired, guided excursions through Palace Discoveries, and a casino opening later in 2026 will give you and your guests even more ways to have fun. Families travelling for your wedding will appreciate the dedicated kids' club, where children enjoy pirate themed play areas, face painting, dance parties, movies, games, and supervised activities.
Wait, I'm not done yet! Golfers will love the 18-hole Greg Norman Eco Signature golf course. Then there's the O Spa. On our visit, a bunch of us indulged in the Back Decontracturant massage. If wedding planning has left your shoulders tight and muscles sore, this 50-minute treatment works wonders. You can also enjoy wood therapy, beauty rituals, smoothies, fresh juices, and gourmet snacks. There's even a professional barbershop. Want to stay active and fit? Make use of the fully equipped fitness center with modern cardio and strength equipment.
