They say "the way to someone's heart is through their stomach", which stands true for Crystal and her partner Chelsea. After being paired up in a culinary class, they quickly learned they shared a passion for food. Starting from a friendship, their relationship bloomed into something more which ultimately lead to a proposal… at a karaoke night!

When deciding where they wanted to say ‘I do’, the two knew right away, “We both love nature and the sea and imagined standing in front of a white sandy beach with clear water. Mexico was perfect!” Crystal admits. After picking out her simple, satin wedding dress and choosing Paradisus Playa del Carmen for the festivities, the special day finally came.

Crystal and Chelsea worked closely with two of Paradise Wedding’s own wedding specialist, Alison and Ruby, to make their wedding day feel like a mix between The Little Mermaid and music festivals. Although the dream of a beach ceremony was washed away when it started raining, Crystal tells us, “I had to accept it was out of my control and it’s actually a symbol of good luck!” Thankfully, the rest of the day went off without a hitch, and the newlyweds finally got their fairytale ending.
