"It was honestly better than we could have imagined."
Jennifer first met Chelsey on a night out dancing-Chelsey was working as a VIP bouncer at the club. There was an instant connection, one that would eventually lead them down the aisle.
From the dance floor to forever! Jennifer was out for a night of dancing when she locked eyes with Chelsey, who happened to be working as a VIP bouncer at the club.
“I knew the minute I met her that she was the one,” Jennifer says. It took seven years and one month of shared adventures before the couple found themselves saying I do on a beach in Mexico! Their engagement was pure Pacific Northwest magic. Every New Year’s, they escape on a weekend trip, and this one took them to a stunning cove along the Kitsap Peninsula.
Chelsey pointed out a whale in the distance, except there wasn’t one. When Jennifer turned back around, Chelsey was down on one knee. (Smooth move, right?) Choosing Mexico was about keeping things intimate and focused on what mattered most: time with their favorite people. “It also alleviated SO much stress leading up to the wedding,” Jennifer shares.
Secrets Playa Blanca in Costa Mujeres turned out to be the perfect setting for their beachside celebration. Their wedding day was pure magic. There were string lights, fire pits crackling, and a bar literally in the sand…it couldn’t have been cooler! And everything from the DJ to the lights and photos was handled through the resort team, making it completely seamless.
