It all started with a swipe! Melissa and Josh matched on Bumble, went on their first date a few days later, and just never stopped hanging out after that. Fast forward to a family vacation in Oahu - Melissa, Josh, their daughter, and her parents were all enjoying a super windy day at an outdoor restaurant. Between a loud wedding DJ next to their first table, and a bird literally pecking at Josh’s plate mid-sentence, the proposal almost didn’t happen. But eventually, Josh got his moment and popped the question right there at the table!

After checking out several venues across California, the couple realized an all-inclusive wedding in Mexico would be more cost-effective and double as a fun getaway with their closest people. They found their perfect fit at Dreams Jade.

The big day kicked off with breakfast and happy chats about what was to come. Some of Melissa’s most cherished moments? Her first look with her parents. Josh’s mom making it to the wedding, even though she hadn’t flown since the '90s. And the incredible weather, especially since it had stormed the day before and the day after. “I truly believe it was our loved ones in heaven shining down on us,” Melissa shares. After the reception, a few guests even ran into the ocean to celebrate!
