How Are Food Allergies and Dietary Restrictions Handled?

Most all-inclusive resorts are experienced in accommodating food allergies, dietary restrictions, and special meal requests. While Paradise Weddings does not directly manage food preparation, we help communicate important dietary information to the resort before travel and guide guests on the steps they should take once they arrive.

For the best experience, guests should share allergy and dietary information as early as possible. This allows us to notify the resort, review available accommodations, and provide any destination-specific recommendations before travel.

Upon arrival, guests should also inform the resort's concierge, guest services team, and restaurant staff about their dietary needs so the resort can coordinate appropriately with on-site chefs and food service teams.

What should guests do before traveling with food allergies?

Guests should provide detailed information about any food allergies, intolerances, or dietary restrictions before their trip.

This allows:

  • Advance communication with the resort

  • Review of available dining accommodations

  • Additional planning for severe allergies

  • Identification of any special requirements

The earlier dietary needs are communicated, the better prepared the resort can be.

What should guests do after arriving at the resort?

After check-in, guests should speak with:

  • Concierge services

  • Guest services staff

  • Restaurant hostesses

  • Dining managers when necessary

This helps ensure dietary information is documented and communicated throughout the stay.

Should guests notify restaurant staff about allergies?

Yes.

Guests should inform restaurant staff every time they dine, even if the resort has already been notified.

Restaurant teams can then coordinate directly with the chef on duty to confirm ingredients, preparation methods, and available alternatives.

Should guests bring allergy medications while traveling?

Absolutely.

Guests with allergies should travel with:

  • Required medications

  • Emergency treatments

  • Allergy cards or translated allergy information

  • Any physician-recommended documentation

This is especially important when traveling internationally.
